After having
visited the Club Med in Ixtapa, Mexico last year, we decided to
do it again but this time to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Once
again it was an overall delightful experience. Our Granddaughter,
Kiley, 4 ½, went into the mini club where they engage in
many activities with kids their own age. They have a petite club
for kids from 2 - 4 and clubs for kids in all the older age groups
going right on up to teenagers. A great break for the parents as
well as the kids.
The beach is
one of the nicest I have ever seen and the pool is enormous with
a big part of it very shallow so you don't have to worry about the
little ones. Plenty of activities all day long from roller blading
to sailing to snorkeling to volleyball to aerobics to archery and
even trapeze. The village is split up in to villas, which hold from
eight to twelve rooms. All the rooms are mini suites with large
walk in closets, spacious showers and plenty of sleeping space for
four.
The Club Med
buffets are a highlight of the trip for me. You never have to wait
on any line as they have the different food stations spread out
in different areas. They have a huge assortment of entrees, breads,
cheeses, soups, pastas, salads and deserts. If you just like to
relax under a palm tree and read a good book, you can find plenty
of secluded locations because the grounds are enormous
